Okay, so I've been playing online poker for a couple months, and it's been really hard. As soon as May began, I started to have some trouble. Variance hit me pretty much for the entire month, and at the end of the month, I think I had slightly above what I started for that month. At the time I played close to 10k games, and that's the worse I ever ran; and at these stakes, it can hurt your bankroll and confidence. However, I can't blame it entirely on bad luck because I know I played poorly because of tilt ( Losing 700 dollars in a single day is depressing) Also, another factor that may have contributed to my losing wave could have been the games I chose to play. For example, the knockout tournaments on Pokerstars are so aggressive. I remember a sit n go, where I made the money, with 15-30 blinds. A lot of the times, there is no fold equity because of the bounty on your head. However, the players in this field are a lot weaker then the players in regular non turbo 9 man sit n gos. If players are willing to shove all in preflop with pocket 3s when blinds are still 10-20, that's a huge leak.(If your running bad, this can be so devastating lol)
I haven't played these in a couple months because I was running bad.( yeah losing twelve 5 to 1
10 to 3 when your favorite in a row, can put you on some mad tilt)

Going into June, I didn't play as much as I should have because I needed the break. And like most poker players I started to question whether this is for me. Poker is cruel, and it can break you mentally and physically; especially when you have bills to pay. But in the end, I came out with profit as you can see on the graph. Having that long losing wave could have been the best thing that happened, because it tested me mentally as a poker player, and made me a better player. I shouldn't run that bad for a long time, unless I'm the unluckiest person in the world lol. To all the regular's I've ran into that have also been running bad, keep your head up, and wait for some better dayz.

P.S Won my first live tournament, only 68 players but first prize was 2,100 dollars. ( 2.1k dollars = Unlimited animation paper Woot!!)

Schools over, the grind begins!!~

Okay, so I finally finished school ( one long ass week) and have been grinding some poker. I got in about 350ish sit n gos, and couple tournaments. ( Think I made leaderboard top 5 or 6 high orbit ) Took 600 bucks from a small tournament( My AAs got cracked by 66s 5 handed prelfop -.-) made about ten step 3 tickets, about 800 bucks worth, and lost about 4 of em to step 4 tickets( cant win a damn step 4 ticket-.-) The month of May begins, and so does the true test of my skills as a poker player. Scoop events start today and hopefully I can cash in some events. This graph shows my sit n go winnings and my tournament earnings. The big swing in the middle of my graph is the 5k ticket I won and lost playing the WCOOP main event. At the time it was more then my bankroll T.t and very sad day because I was 100 players from cashing and after about 9 hrs of playing. Let May begin~!

Finished 10k Challenge!!

I started playing poker for fun a couple years ago, then I got bored of the freerolls. I deposited money onto my Pokerstars account and quickly found out how different people play with money at stake T.t I ended up losing all my money except for one dollar and fifty cents. At that time, I read an article from a professional player named Chris Ferguson who made 10 thousand dollars just from freerolls. It took him a couple months just to get about ten dollars and after about a year( Can't remember) , he completed the challenge.

After reading that article, I was so inspired that I decided to do a similar challenge; except I would do it with just 1 dollar and 50 cents. After grinding out the micro cash games, tournaments and countless sit n gos; I finally moved up to the higher stakes. After reading books, online articles , watching videos, reviewing countless hands and observing how people play early, middle and late game; I finally made it to 10k in profits from just sit n gos. ( Actually I'v made a lot more because Sharkscope doesn't keep track of cash games, fpps, and BOP Promotions. I also won a 5 thousand dollar ticket into the WCOOP main event). Maybe I'll set a couple new challenges for me in the future. Till then, gotta finish the last week of school and then I can actually start playing for real.

WSOP Main Event!!!

Joe Cada made poker history when he became the youngest poker player to ever win the WSOP main event. At age 21, and now a bankroll of over 8 million dollars; poker might erupt into a Moneymaker effect. (Well... probably not as huge as when Moneymaker won, but I'm sure it will attract some of the younger players.)

Will post some stuff soon!!!!
